Pottery Classes with Ryan Peters

 

8 Week Raku Class
$250/Adult (15+)
$175/Child (Under 15)
Throughout the 8 weeks of the class you will learn to make bowls and vases on the potters wheel in which you will Raku on the 8th week. Each student will get to keep 5-10 pieces to glaze and fire on the final day.  Throughout the class you will learn the history of raku as well as the safety that goes into the actual firing process. You will then be able to participate in the firing by pulling your piece from the kiln and placing it into the reduction bin.

1 time Raku Class
$45/Adult (15+)
$35/Child(15 & under)
In this one time class you will get to make 3 pots on the potters wheel and choose 1 to keep for the firing. You will then come back on a later day to glaze and fire your piece.

Bring Your Own Bisque
$20 a kiln load or by the piece
Fit as many of your pots on the 17 inch kiln shelf as you can. Shelf fits between 1-8 pots depending on size. Recommended size is no wider then 8 inches and no taller then 18 inches. Bisque must be Raku clay or it is fired at the potters risk of breakage. No guarantees.
